EPSF missions

Created in 2006, the missions of the Établissement public de sécurité ferroviaire (EPSF) are mainly defined by Law no. 2006-10 of January 5, 2006 on transport safety and development, and Decree no. 2006-369 of March 28, 2006 (amended by Decree no. 2022-1573 of December 14, 2022). They have evolved under cover of the 4th railway package, transposed into national law by Ordinance no. 2019-397 of April 30, 2019, and Decree no. 2019-525 of May 27, 2019 on the safety and interoperability of the railway system.
